Moien / Greetings!
Hi Mr.Gardini,I am Lex Sente from Luxembourg.I found Marie Fries in your book.She was a sister of my mother-in-law.She left Bettembourg late 1919 to
join the Mario Cudde family in Boston,Suffolk. In 1953 she came over with her daughter Jean M Cudde to see us.From here on we lost her trace.Mean-
while I found the death of Mario and also theone of Jean.But now sign at all from Marie Fries .We would be grateful if you had an idea what else could be
done.I do’nt have your book yet, but i will get it as a Christmas gift.
Hoping my english is readable and send you my best wishes,hoping to here from You.
Yours sincerely Lex Sente
Thank you for your feedback. I will see if I can find any information. I assume that you are also related to Ernest Sente (1924-1944), who was from Bettembourg, and who died tragically in an airplane crash in England on April 29, 1944, while training with the Forces Aériennes Françaises Libres (FAFL). His story appears in my book “Luxembourg On My Mind” pages 182-183.
– Mario Cudde born 21 or 22 November 1891 died in February of 1969 in Roxbury, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.
– Jean M. Cudde was born on February 14, 1936 and died on January 23, 2009 at age 73 in West Roxbury, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.
– Marie Cudde, nee Fries – I do not have her date of birth. Do you know it?
Would you have a list of MDs from Luxembourg living in the States?
My book ‘Luxembourg On My Mind, Volume II‘ lists over 300 Luxembourgers and/or descendants of Luxembourgers in the United States in medical profession…. however most are from the 19th century and very few are from the 20th and 21st century.
On amazon.com you can look inside the book.
Hello, Young Man;
This is Sam Siebenaler in La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA. I was just reading the Luxembourg American Gazette that Kevin Wester puts out at the (LACS) Luxembourg American Cultural Society. At first I was just going to throw it in the trash after my wife read it, but then I thought maybe I should read it also. And at the last page I almost fell out of my chair. “Fausto Gardini Releases NEW Book -365 Moments In Time.” You currently have done it again, surprised all of us!!! I hope to get a signed copy from you the next time you are in the area. tks Sam
